ACYIG is pleased to announce that we have a new Website Manager and Blog Editor. Dori Beeler (U of Durham) takes over for Bonnie Richard (UCLA) who built and maintained our site and blog since 2013, turning it into a thriving hub for our online activity and engagement.
Dr. Beeler received her PhD in Medical Anthropology from the University of Durham, where she also received an MA in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. As a medical anthropologist her work spans across a contemporary and socio-historical understanding of the intersections between healing and spirituality; medical science, expertise and law; health and wellbeing; healthcare and commodity; the body as culture; and oral history and tradition. In her current position as a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Theology, Science and Human Flourishing at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Beeler focuses on children’s health and care, particularly as it concerns research methods, clinical treatment within pediatric oncology, and children’s spirituality and health.
You can email her for all of your ACYIG website and blog needs. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Beeler to the ACYIG Communications team and in thanking outgoing webmaster Dr. Richard for her outstanding service to ACYIG.
